A Truly Great Canadian!
Canada's 11th Prime Minster, Richard Bedford Bennett Was born and raised in Hopewell cape, new brunswick, and was the son of a shipbuilder. He led our nation from 1930 to 1935 during the darkest days of the Great Depression. His SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS not only turned the tides of the great depression, but also contributed towards making canada the country it is today. we are proud to tell his story at the Albert County museum & RB Bennett commemorative Centre.
His many accomplishments, unmatched philanthropy and the Canadian Institutions founded by him, including the CBC and the Bank of Canada, speak louder than words. Raised in Albert County, he went on to greatness and accomplished much both in his law career, founding Bennett Jones LLP in Calgary, and his many years in public service.
