Molly and her Dad, Paul Kool from about 1925. Myrtle 'Molly' Kool (February 23, 1916 – February 25, 2009) was a Canadian sea captain. She is recognized as being the first North American registered female sea captains or ship master. She died 11 years ago today and her ashes were scattered in Herring Cove.
