Okay continuing around the county, with this amazing photo from Alma. Sadly this bridge is no longer with us, but with the size of today’s motorhomes it’s probably a good thing, although today’s utilitarian causeway lacks the majestic charm of this bridge.

This is one of my favourite views, which you can just glimpse today through the trees. It is between Hopewell Cape and Hillsborough, but closer to the Cape. The white structure to the right are the Gypsum Company Silos. Although probably safer, today’s guardrails lack the picturesque beauty of this ones from 1938.

Now a trip to Edgett’s Landing showing the King John (Steeves) House. This was last owned by Perce & Gertie Steeves. It has since fallen down. I think at one time, it was the oldest house in Albert County, I wonder which house owns that title now? Any thoughts?
